The artwork on the control panel is awesome, I really love the area around the stick :D and also the stuff over on the right where it says Astro City in white :). I hope when I get my cab I can do even half as good a job on some artwork for it (assuming I don't just be lazy and get a new net city kit or something haha) :D.

@Bingo83 - Those are Cold Cathode tubes that worrk on 12V :twisted:

@spmbx - Those triSync chassis come with a standard plug that goes into the brick, but if it wasn't so, I would have made a powerplug myself ;)

@Tugdaniels - I'm not planning on making them for Egret 2 for the moment, first I kinda like the original and second as long as I don't have one I'm not able to fully understand the cab and see what I can do with the art.

Thnx to everybody for all the praise ;)

It definitely makes them look very modern with the newer art. I like things being changed up a little, Gives the Astro a new life.

I've been waiting to see this :)

Looks amazing IMO, I'd drop the neon at the bottom but other than that it looks ace, great job!

@Bower, the vinyl used is acrylic, so it's very sturdy, a bit too sturdy, because you have to be carefull drilling the holes, it might crack.

The neon has a nice switch in the back, so can be switched on or off, to suit your mood of the day hehe ;)

Psykick wrote:A very simple but utterly cool feature is that I can switch the cab on and off by remote 8-) Just get those very cheap power control things that have like three devices that you can switch on or off and show off to your friends 8-) They look like this, plus you don't have to get behind or under the cab again ;)

I have one of those, and it catches interference from cellphones all the time and shuts off. Haven't you run into that problem?

You damn right ;)

@Mufunyo - I haven't tested it thorough enough so time will tell, I have one from a different brand if this one gives too much trouble, will let you know though.

@Luke - Thnx! ;)

Is this artwork for sale yet? I tried contacting the original poster but haven't had any luck. I really want this artwork for my astro.

Does anyone have a high quality scan of the original astro city side art?

I'm speechless :o Coolest New Astro City I've seen in my life. Love absolutely everything about it. If I had to be extremly picky I would swap the black washer and use a clear one on top and a mirrored one in the bottom as calium is doing on his E3 or use a white one.

The different color from the panel around the speakers always bothered me and seeing it all white makes everything tighter and much more pleasant to the eye. Are you planning to create a 2 player stick panel?
