Samurai Shodown Anthology Wii

Post by Jan »

OK , i played SS6 from the SS Anthology Collection on the Wii today and here are a few thoughts...

-it supports 480p
-background are are stunning , very sharp , great colors , i`d say nicer than the AW Version
-it offers arranged and original soundtrack , great !
-alot more characters , even the pets are playable :D
-loading times are minimal

but there is a hugh problem , for some *****ng reason the implanted a sprite filter which can not be turned off

now you have a sharp background and realy realy blurry sprites , it looks so ugly, what a shame , this could have been a awesome port

Cheers for the feedback, that's the stuff I wanna read here. Being a huge 2d fan myself (only play 2d games), I do believe we should have a thread about 2d games where we discuss / review them (from an arcade point of view, no gay ign reviews) and point out the flaws of those crappy ports.

For instance, how about Melty Blood: Actress Again for Ps2? Is it any good?

Down with filters. I liked the fact the AW version was the only SNK fighter without blurry sprites.

I'd send you back to play the AW version, I find the Wii's video output to be absolutely cack.

Meh, ports. If it's 2d and worth playing, get the real deal ;)
