Ray'z Arcade Chronology

Post by SuperPang »

SuperPang wrote: March 28th, 2022, 1:36 pm Rayforce deserves the M2 treatment. It's one of my favourites.
Publisher TAITO and developer M2 have announced shoot ’em up collection Ray’z Arcade Chronology for PlayStation 4 and Switch. It will launch in 2023 in Japan.

Ray’z Arcade Chronology includes the following titles:

RayForce (1994)
RayStorm (1996)
RayStorm NEO-HD (2023) – A remaster of the arcade version of RayStorm. RayStorm HD launched in 2010 with additional elements and a 16:9 aspect ratio, but RayStorm NEO-HD includes the same content as the arcade version and retains a 4:3 aspect ratio.
RayCrisis (1998)
RayCrisis HD (2023) – A remaster of RayCrisis.

Is this like a UK Amazon preorder i.e if the shipping comes down, the price is adjusted before it's shipped? :shifty:

**** sake. Just got a long, bleating email from SLG explaining that this has been delayed until "early 2024", so a year after the Japanese release.

I went for their version because it includes R-Gear and was cheaper than the Japanese pre-order. Should've known better.

These limited run places would drive you to downloads , cant remember the game maybe turtles but i could have picked up a physical release locally before their release got to me by about a month (didn't know it was getting any other physical release ) :problem:

lol I already punted this after I did the trophies, the fact I had to play this with a dualshock killed it for me figured it would have the usual M2 legacy support but doesn't. R-Gear demo is garbage literally 2 minutes of enjoyment really should grab the import it's like $45.

Yeah I think I've fixated on R-Gear too much. It's basically one unfinished level, but I'm such a fan of Rayforce that I've always wanted to try it. Especially as I find the 3D sequels a bit meh.

It's really lame that they didn't include it in every version.
