FPGA handheld from Analogue. Fits Gameboy carts as is, but will also support Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket and Atari Lynx carts with adapters.

Very cool.

It doesn't look the most ergonomic of designs but it is mighty impressive and reasonably priced. They've come a long way from walnut CMVS's!

jf it was 150ish I'd buy it ,but probably with shipping and import duty at the moment it a bit much for something that will sit in played , it is tempting though.
Interested in seeing some reviews on it

I’ve got enough Nintendo handhelds to bury myself up to the waist.

I don’t want to want this, but I do. :(

I reread this whole thread at 2am. (-‸ლ)

As great as the AnalPox look, they won’t excite me like these old school Gameboys do.

[edit]Oh wait you said GB Boy... fair enough, get rid of that.

Yeah and delivery may 2021 (read: winter). I think i'll skip and if it proves to be ok i'll get one in the future if they have them for general sale. And if they don't then i guess not.

Ditto. I was more interested when I thought it might play ROMs directly, not this whole separate cartridge adapter for each system thing.

I think that’s just the copyright friendly sales pitch. I gather all their previous systems were sold similarly and then got an unofficially official jailbreak.

You are probably right. For me personally i have modded handhelds for all the systems i want to play and i'm not feeling the need to pre-finance this project 10 months in advance (in reality it'll probably be well over a year i'm guessing). I think that's more than my creditcard refund period so that also doesnt make me feel very good about it. They seem to have this developer program going on for people who want to make software for this thing. Those developers will probably also want a console that's actually available for general sale and not just a limited console for ebay- or forum scalpers. So i'm waiting this one out personally.

Yeah, I’m not happy about the wait, it’s way too far in advance to preorder for me too. Even for scalping.

Nope. Too long delivery time and this thing lives and I want to see actual reviews before i invest any time into it. I'd like to be able to handle one before I buy too, as it doesn't look all that great in terms of edges and control positions, as well as the dpad being a total unknown.
