If any other company had put a widescreen ratio screen on their toy they would have been bashed to hell.

I'm usually going to care too much about a cheap looking speaker grill on SEGA's version. It's just a toy.
It was just an example. Obviously it would not cost sega a penny extra to produce their toy with better design. I guess a 4:3 screen would still be problematic or impossible in this day and age but the widescreen is hardly the only thing wrong with sega's lackluster execution on this thing.

They could have fixed the screen by putting a larger 16:9 vertically. But no.

At least it looks like it's got modding potential.

I should probably get a Switch instead.

I seem to have inadvertently given myself pinkeye - shockingly, without even owning a Switch :lolno: Looks like repeatedly shoving contact lenses in (followed up with half a pint of eye drops), after little to no sleep, has finally caught up with me :(

I've been thinking about this one. Since the arcade stick that looks like a VSHG has a new design for the control panel, what are the chances that the internals are also something like in the mini itself?

I would be surprised if they went to the trouble of redesigning the internals.
