I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful consoles I’ve ever seen. It’s kinda what I’ve hoped next gen consoles would look like for years but instead it’s been one black box after another.

No games of interest to me other than GT7 though unfortunately.

I like it, though I'm also seeing quite a number saying they don't.
People are saying it looks like a modem, which is one of my thoughts after absorbing the initial unveiling.

the video compression on YouTube and twitch was imo the biggest fail of the presentation , if you haven`t, make sure to rewatch the game trailer in 4k on youtube.

beside that, the lineup is pretty solid, some nice new ips and cool to see Ratchet & Clank are back. In secret i was hopeing for a Street Fighter 6 teaser or maybe a new Darkstalker and a new uncharted of course.

Not sure about the design of the console, Looks kina cool, but will probably be a pain in the **** to Keep it dust free, maybe i should get a suitcase for it.

my thoughts exactly ,i like that they didnt go too uniform with the sqaure black box but i bet this could also be a bit of pain in the **** some serious amount of venting going on there ! 1st impressions are i like it !

Not a fan. but honestly it is not a thing Sony could win. with this design they get the "ugly! doesnt fit in my av setup!" criticism. if they went with the more traditional looks they would get the "just another black box!" criticism. myself i am in the first camp.

Unlikely to pick up a PS5 just because priorities. Can't say I particularly like the look of it but it does give me proper Japanese design vibes. However, the controller - I may simply have to pick one up purely as a display piece. It's a work of art.

They both look like something out a cyberpunk/mecha anime.

yeah agree the controller is spot on design wise looks really sleek

One USB and a Thunderbolt port on the front by the look of it. Probably more options on the back? For charging more than one controller you can purchase the dock I guess? Nobody wants to connect the external drive to the front right?

The design is pretty nice but the colours scheme is a bit sterile, would prefer an all black version.
