They even seem to have a screen-enlarger for the micro? There isn't a big enough facepalm gif available to use...

Yeah, all four units release with at least one RPG / text heavy game.

Yellow is the silliest:

Shining Force Gaiden: Ensei – Jashin no Kuni he
Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya
Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict
Nazopuyo Aruru no Ru

Lets be fair, I've never been arsed with either. The PSP has been the only exception. Even as a kid a Game Gear wasn't massively appealling

Some models seem to be available for global shipping at Amazon now, including the best one:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B08 ... UTF8&psc=1

FWIW, although it does seem a wasted opportunity and I'd rather have a larger one with more games that I could actually play, I think these will sell like hot cakes in Japan. They're kawaii, there are four to collect, you can put them on a keychain. They're just a bit of fun.

I wish it was closer to the original size but with a bigger screen.

And no need for a powerful CPU but release a new physical SEGA Game every few months using classic IP such as Nights and Clockwork Knight and charge a big premium.
