Deathsmiles 1 & 2
So Cave's "big announcement" was unsurprisingly limp. City Connection are porting both Deathsmiles games to "multiple platforms" next year. It's worth noting City Connection are on the Exa developer list so some sort of arcade re-release is a possibility but more likely we'e looking at cheap and shoddy Switch ports. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong as I'd love an arcade perfect DS2, but boy do I wish M2 were doing this.

Re: Deathsmiles 1 & 2
i think that is pretty cool news, they should re-release all of their games so i can get rid of that old Xbox360.

Re: Deathsmiles 1 & 2
Ah, mostly disappointing because I don't care for DS, but the promise of more ports in the future is good. Hopefully Cave will have some input and authority over these ports and be able to assert some degree of accuracy as a minimum. I suppose I've never played DS2 and I might enjoy it, so if they're a decent price I'll probably buy them to support the effort.

I think it's interesting that in this Gematsu article, it says Multiplatform Expansion No. 1. Does this mean that they will make more?

Re: Deathsmiles 1 & 2
They called their Zero Gunner 2 port Zero Gunner 2- which says a lot. I don't think the others are bad but you know Cave fans and their slowdown!

Re: Deathsmiles 1 & 2
What if they re-made Deathsmiles 2 for the exa with improved 3D graphics? Something that really captured the art style of the first game, now that would be cool.

I’ve heard the final patched version of DS2 is very good, but the hardware is awful and very unreliable
