Nah, I'd prefer a less glossy surface but otherwise it's pretty good looking. Bobbins product though.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
The stick design as it could pass for some obscure 1990's rental system only found in Japanese hotels
Final burn is well optimised for CPS hardware and should 'in theory' be accurate if they stick in on a nice ARM board.
Current price is a little too high to tempt me, but will keep an eye on it.
It's annoying that they include AVP on this product without offering it as optional DLC for the Capcom belt collection released on consoles, but this is a European lead product so I can understand the different license terms.
The game selection is quite interesting, it could have done with Wonders3 (pls include it as a hidden option, if you are reading this Capcom )

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
Okay, I got to admit that the design of being completely colored based on a brand, making the buttons nearly invisible. I hope the final product has slight notable solid symbols or else it may be reduced to being a big logo to hang on the wall. Otherwise, I cannot afford the money or time to get this.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
Price is pretty reasonable considering it uses sanwa buttons and sticks (if I read that correctly).
I mean look at the prices of Hori sticks etc.
I like the Capcom logo, but I'm not sure about the shape of the whole stick being the logo.
Now if they made a Boardmaster style or HSS 0130 or Hori vewlix type of stick that would be very tempting - like perhaps cloning the Capcom Cute Panel box, or the Impress panel?
Pretty good selection of games and no doubt you could hack it to run what you want.
I'd like to see it in the flesh.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
Possible candidate for the "Gallery of Sh*te"....
Rip-off pricing, iffy design, average game selection - could only be worse if it was a PlayStation Classic.

I Suppose for me some of the issue is the look of it, its growing on me a bit ,but I'm not a huge fan of the boardmaster (its looks great) but its just too big in general. (both of them )bloodhokuto wrote: ↑April 16th, 2019, 11:21 pm

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
It's all kicking off. The owner of FB Alpha apparently licensed it to Capcom without consulting any of the other developers or contributors, and they're a bit mad about it.
There's a certain irony in all this that I can't quite put my finger on.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
Hahahaha! Except it's still real right? ... just maybe the whole thing is a board-room-joke-taken-too-far-but-it-is-ok-we-can-make-it-a-tax-write-off way to troll the emulation + bootlegger scene?
Finally it all makes sense if so, there was a plan... because otherwise it's a wall sign, not an arcade panel and that works great as a 'fu luv capcom' lulz project.

Humm.
Shame about that controller
I guess we will see somebody attempt a DIY re-package the internal bits.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
Am I the only person who doesn't hate this? I mean yeah, for the price, I want the entire CPS 1&2 library (the important bits anyway). But it's not a terrible product, it seems decently built and the emulation is good. I don't think us lunatics who own cabs are the target audience, although the price will be eye-watering for mere mortals.
I bet it comes down in price when the stock won't shift. At £100 I might even be tempted.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
It's solid ports. Just don't expect arcade perfection, as they've removed all random stuff. But on the other hand, this means that score competition is way more fair now.

Re: Capcom Home Arcade
It's the glossy overlay and invisible buttons that put me off the most, otherwise in some ways the grey shell design is quite neat.
If the price drops down to about £100-149 then sure, I would be tempted.
