“There really isn’t any security on the device at all,” yifanlu told Kotaku in an email. “Sony managed to accidentally include their firmware update private keys on every console.”

Re: ps classic mini
Hackers to the rescue. This is apparently now a really good emulation device with better specs than a (S)NES Classis or a Raspberry Pi.
There's two exploits available:

PS1 and PSP emulation is supposed to be really good.

The price is pretty low in the US, right now ($40), so I might bite on this to mod.nem wrote: ↑April 8th, 2019, 11:14 am Hackers to the rescue. This is apparently now a really good emulation device with better specs than a (S)NES Classis or a Raspberry Pi.

I have a huge itch to play some original WipEout right now. I have no idea where my games are. Or my controllers. Console I could probably find
Local electronics store has the Classic for 50 euros, however, it was down to 40 euros just recently.

Re: ps classic mini
Any reason to get this if I have a modded PSP, PSV, PSTV, and PS3?
I think it's safe to say no, but having no experience with the Classic, there may be something I'm missing.

Actually, me, neither. My wife wanted to get me an Easter gift, and I said sure. Figure I'll hack it to say I did it, and put it aside after I play a few rounds of 60hz fighting/shmups games. Next project.

Got mine. Apparently OTG support is supposed to come pretty soon. I think I'll wait, don't really want to faff around with powered USB hubs.
