Windjammers 2

Post by SuperPang »

:-o
Get ready! The legendary disc throwing game, Windjammers, is getting a sequel! Windjammers 2 will combine everything fans love about the classic title with entirely hand-drawn 2D animations to create the ultimate windjamming experience. Windjammers 2 will fly onto Nintendo Switch and PC in 2019.
Developed by Dotemu, who have so far only done ports and remakes AFAIK. The jury's out on whether they can do it justice.

That animation is class.

Honestly, provided this is decent, I would be down for an exA port.

Gameplay reveal.

Looks a lot like the original with HD art, to me. Which I'm fine with.

Dotemu is to be trusted with the dedication they will provide to the game.

I love the art style. Fingers crossed it plays as well as the original.

Looks great. They could actually pull this off if they just make the gameplay 1:1 with the original. I wouldn't trust them to update the formula.

so looking at that ,its still hard to make out but looks like there is a "spike back" to the ground option on some returns @20sec's there is also a soft quick parry back option but that could just be the old "b "button that I rarely used ...its looks good ,still don't like the animation of the fat guy but dotemu seem obsessed with them !!

Yeah, it does look like there's a jump button.

The walking animations need work and the character portraits are pretty dire. Overall it's looking very good though. Colour me impressed.
