Annoying miss due to life: https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/auction/ ... 6055/lgk-N

Found out you can buy something called a Joey to reflash certain bootleg carts. Like the idea.

Can anyone recommend an obscure, but good GBA game? I’ve just finished ninja five-0

Astro Boy
Drill Dozer
Kururin

Not sure if they're that obscure though. If you like top down racing games, Karnaaj Rally and Racing Gears Advance are great.

Also, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Probably my most played GBA game.

It's crazy how well it works in isometric view. Perfect pick up and play game.

THPS2’s ace. I’ve really fond memories of playing it under my bedside lamp on the original GBA. I’ve never played it on an SP or Micro but will buy it again now this thread’s reminded me.

Some of the more obscure GBA games from the many I’ve been meaning to play (not including RPGs)...

Drill Dozer - Game Freak made a non-Pokemon game.
Klonoa 1&2 - Probably the most well known little known gba gems.
Gradius Galaxies
Rhythm Tengoku - Original Rythm Paradise.

And some I’ve just discovered...

Sabre Wulf
Lady Sia
Scurge: Hive
Car Battler Joe
Kuruin Paradise - I’ve played the first Kuruin game on GBA and the GC version but just found out about this sequel.
Iridian 2
Denetsu no Starfy 3 - JP only platformer series.

Klonoa on the GBA is very nice. I always wanted to play Metal Gunslinger, but never got my hands on it. If you're into old Konami stuff, Pyuu To Fuku! Jaguar is an... experience.
Emulation's nice when done well

Apparently the dodgy power switch on a GBA is a known thing, due to it getting corroded. Cleaning the contacts fixes it: https://i.imgur.com/WXBW6n2.jpg

First pack of games arrived. The bootlegs. All but 3 work fine.

Back in the old days, well.. back when the GBA was still alive... I followed this list and bought all them along the way, before the prices went crazy...

Had a blast with that list. you won't regret it.

I played a couple of levels today, it’s :awe:

I can’t get the translation patch to apply though. :problem:

I’ll work through all the games on the list. Drill Dozer looks ace too.

Do you still need to patch / convert roms with that model? For the handful of games you’ll want a flash cart for, it’s gotta be worth £30
