Re: Japanese Xbox 360
... I think you can use a UK one. You just need to ensure that you get the same rating (wattage).
I imported 2 360s but they were the 'Asian' ones with UK plugs
I would wait for further confirmation before buying one ... is the connector on the back of the Jpn 360 the same arrangement as the connecter from the UK PSU?

I have a slim JPN 360 and I use a UK powerbrick, like bloodhokuto say's watch the rating.
Once I get home I will confirm what the UK brick output is

IIRC, you will know if it works if the plug fits the socket. Microsoft put some thought into it. The huge brick switches the voltage to what the machine wants.

My Jpn console brick
Input AC is 100-127v 3.7A 47-63 hz
Output DC 135W 12v -10.83a
Am using a UK brick with
Input AC is 100-240v 2A 47-63 hz
Output DC 135W 12v 10.83a
So basically as long as the Wattage is the same you should have no problem.

It's not a problem if the wattage is higher. Just don't go lower.

I believe the PSU connectors are also slightly different so you can't under power the older machines.nem wrote:It's not a problem if the wattage is higher. Just don't go lower.
