Which consoles are you running in your cabs?
I was thinking to connect a Wii to my New Astro, but then I thought it might get better image in the Naomi, and then I thought twice maybe it was better to buy a cheap Xbox 360 for the Naomi. So just thought about asking what are the best consoles to hook up in our cabs.

Re: Which consoles are you running in your cabs?
I have that Console to Jamma adapter that I got off someone that builds them he's a member here, it's fantastic.
I have the connections for PCE, Saturn & PlayStation. I have probably used the PS one the least, even though you can use that with another cheap controller adapter to run 360 (it is a bit fiddly).
I got the 360 just for the CAVE stuff and have most of the ports, but they play pretty well enough on a flatscreen.

There's a link in my signature to a thread that aims to compile a list of console games for arcade enthusiasts. You can also use it to look up which systems have interesting games for console-in-a-cab setups.

Re: Which consoles are you running in your cabs?
thanks, I actually went through it yesterday but it only lists console exclusive arcade games, XBOX for example is scarce in content this way. I think I will go with Wii and XBox, maybe Dreamcast (I'm quite satisfied with just the Naomi). I will mainly try those cave games and use wii for Nintendo platforms and some puzzle games, not sure which to plug to Naomi which to the Astro.LEGENOARYNINLIA wrote:There's a link in my signature to a thread that aims to compile a list of console games for arcade enthusiasts. And ports with extra features: https://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic ... 36#p302315zumbito wrote:I actually went through it yesterday but it only lists console exclusive arcade games
If there are arcade ports for the 360 with extra features, I don't know about them, as I don't own the system. But maybe someone can contribute what they know.

Re: Which consoles are you running in your cabs?
one of my saturn padhacks stopped working so i had to break another pad to get this working
got a saturn with pseudosaturn cartridge/dreamcast/viletim adaptor a couple of saturn pad to dreamcast convertors and a wallet filled with cdrs
this way you can play everything from cps1 sf2,cps2 stuff,cps3,naomi,3d fighters ,stv stuff and a **** of shooters and platformers and sidescrollers with just a swap of controller ports and scart leads
