News outlets are calling it a Streets of Rage killer already :problem:

Saying that, I invested in the project years ago, so I hope it lives up to the hype.

Was tempted to order simply to keep sealed for a few years... but this whole games as investments thing doesn't sit right.

I think it looks pretty ugly, would be interested in some photos from a CRT. Soundtrack seems good. It's a button mashing brawler so it'd have to try pretty hard to be not-fun.

I think this is anything but ugly. It looks fantastic and I've been excited ever since seeing it announced as Project Y.

Got mine on Pre-Order and can't wait to play it.

It does look great and I'm not the biggest fan of brawlers. It's a new Megadrive game for £55, not the best part of a grand. Seems they really have put a lot of good work into it. It looks worth picking up. I've certainly done worse for fifty quid in the 90s.

It looks like pretty good fun and is reasonably priced,
bearing in mind that high meg games were around £60 back in t' day.

I agree with cools - I think it looks pretty ugly. The character sprites/art style reminds me of Eternal Champions.

Really psyched for this one! From what I've seen and heard of this game so far.... the graphics and sound track :awe:. Also the fact that it uses a custom chip inside the cartridge for enhanced sound makes it really cool. Go go WaterMelon games!

edit: for those who would like to pre-order the game, you can use coupon code: 9706504PY for 10% discount (by using this code I'll gain "gems" WaterMelon's currency to invest in their games and products, so win win for both :D).

I was interested in the game but didn't preorder, because I wanted to see some real gameplay footage before spending the money.

We were not very talkative those last months... we were at war! Struggling and battling with our payment processor, Paypal...

... as they locked our funds after over 8 years of business! An independent video game company is apparently not supposed to be that awesome!

Thanks to your trust and love for quality retro games, we received an unprecedented large amount of orders. PayPal decided it was way too suspicious for a Mega Drive/SEGA Genesis game to be that successful. Yes, you heard it right! We are not drug dealers! We are all 16-bit addicted, but nothing to cure about it!

Even if they locked our funds, we continued part of the production on our own savings and it greatly affected our schedule and operations... in order to produce the biggest 16-bits games ever produced, we require a lot more than pocket money!

You know now why the order page was unavailable. No stone was left unturned in seeking to remedy the problem and we finally reached the rights people. We should receive our funds in about a month.

Planned on fall 2017, the release date will so be pushed a bit. PAPRIUM will rise from earth early 2018.

WaterMelon isn't the greatest when it comes to communicating with their customers and fanbase. However from my own experience they do deliver what you pay for in a beautiful way, you do need a lot of patience though

For a MD game, it looks awesome. Indeed, as a user pointed before, it has something from Eternal Champions in the graphics style (which is not at all a bad thing).

I’ve got it on pre-order but dear god they are taking forever.

Their lack of consistent communication is problematic though. Even if it takes another six months from today, I’d rather just know
