I kinda regret getting rid of all my original games when I sold them off in the early 2000's but thinking logically flash carts are the perfect solution for rom type games. It's not as if they're anolog copies and the experience is downgraded, it's technically the read-deal. It's psychological that you need the original to enjoy the game. I am currently going original hardware and Everdrive route these days and I'm playing games on original hardware that I couldn't afford to play if I went for originals. And for CD games I just go the CR-R route, it's super easy to find the ISOs these days so why not. £300+ for a CD game is just crazy when the iso plays exactly the same.
Am finding myself doing this more as prices rise, but there's some games I just need to have the physical copy
