It's bound to get panned by critics. It looks like a game that should have been released for the original Xbox after Shenmue 2.

I'm still hopeful that everyone who's going in with the right expectations will receive a game worth their time and money.

We'll see.

Got mine today, thought they might have tried a little harder with the slipcase. Will have to give it a go tomorrow.

Spent about an hour walking round looking like I've shat myself, talking to strangers with terrible dialogue, not really knowing what to do. Bought a gachapon. Shenmue's back folks!

I've never finished the first one yet, had every copy for each system as well. It's a game I want to love but can't be arsed fanny ing about

OG Shenmue is terrible. I can’t imagine putting myself through the pain twice, let alone 3 times.

As long as there is not a shoddy a QTE as in Kowloon in Shenmue 2 im fine, but those scaffolds still give me nightmares.

I think the og was the 1st game ,I totally forgot what i was supposed to be doing outside of wandering around and yapping to people......its been a continuing trend since.

My enduring memories of OG Shenmue are Ryu saying “I love these!” when he opened a gashapon, that Chai thing’s laugh and driving around the docks in a forklift

I don’t remember ever actually enjoying any of it. **** knows why I seen it through to the end.

Looking back now at all the main enemy/boss characters, they make even Rare characters look good.

I loved both the games on DC and played them all the way through.

Was disappointed with my PS4 slipcase though ,thought they might of had a little thank you note on it or with it for all the original pledgers that have waited almost 5yrs.
