Street Fighter V
Re: Street Fighter V
I love the look of it! Ken seems to have a SFAlpha 3 vibe gameplay wise, can't wait! Table for one Mr Slugflyer?

Here to represent new style VEWLIX arcade fans. Both of you.

Played the game quite a bit. Game seems to have elements from all the SF games. I definately prefer it to SF4. Feels much smoother and it flows better.

How did the speed, walk speed feel? Did you experiment with any of the v-trigger stuff?DaytimeDreamer wrote:Played the game quite a bit. Game seems to have elements from all the SF games. I definately prefer it to SF4. Feels much smoother and it flows better.

Re: Street Fighter V
I can put it into words but USFIV feels much more stiff compared to SFV. In SFV the action flows much better.skitzo wrote:How did the speed, walk speed feel? Speed wise ir more or less the same. Dashing seems faster. Walk speed more or less the same.
The animation is over the top, simply amazing.

Re: Street Fighter V

Re: Street Fighter V
It's a bug that was in the E3 build. Fighters on the left side of the VS screen had issues with the physics. You can see a lightning spark appear on Chun-Li's side that's supposed to belong to Ryu. Birdie's hair was messed up on the left side, etc.
It's a pretty damn ugly game anyway.

Re: Street Fighter V
Big news! Street Fighter V introduces its first brand new Killer Instinct character!
He's called Necalli and he's basically a reworked Wolverine from the MVC games now that Disney isn't co-operating with Capcom.

Re: Street Fighter V
think he looks ok

<trk>:I remember catching a big fat one and my friend said "throw it back in, that one already tastes like wood"

Anyone else reading this as 'gems'?All post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable for free by playing the game
Re: Street Fighter V
Not sure, 'gameplay related content' is ambiguouspubjoe wrote:Anyone else reading this as 'gems'?All post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable for free by playing the game
...Would that mean V turbo/ulta/or-whatever-update and extra characters? Doubt it, but that would be good.
...Doesn't sound like costumes; no effect on gameplay.
Necalli ... meh... a(nother) random demon dude? ... this fool before blanka? ... where's my nationalistic/regional stereotypes? All a bit emo - no sense of humour.
But yeah could be worse. Snick snick snick...

CoC gems or SFvT gems?pubjoe wrote:Anyone else reading this as 'gems'?All post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable for free by playing the game
Either way

Re: Street Fighter V
Street Fighter vs Tekken? Does that have IAP/gems?
My thought is just that if you can earn OR pay for content then 'earning' certainly won't just be a nice 1CC or whatever. It'll be long ****-off grind. '****-off (am I doing all that)' being the key profit generator.

Re: Street Fighter V
Apparently you can either earn fight money by playing or buy Zennys if you don't want to grind.
Gems in SFXT are like powerups that you can pick from before a match, or something.

Re: Street Fighter V
Thanks.
Ah, it is grind or gem then. It's where the money is, which is fine, but it fits with a slow progressing carrot-led game. Not sure how that'll fit into a 1v1 fighter. Career mode?
