NoAffinity wrote:My son downloaded this on steam, and was playing on his laptop. It's a pretty stout laptop, his grandparents bought it for him and they tend to spoil him. He's getting screen tearing at the top 1/4 of the screen. Game resolution set to 1920x1080 (desktop res is 3000x2000, at 60hz). We tried turning vsync on and off in the in-game options - no difference either way. The in-game options are pretty sparse.

Anybody else experiencing this and have any suggestions for remedying it?
Enable v-sync from the GPU menu (not the game). Is the graphics chip nVidia?

Started to play cuphead yesterday. Such a great game. The whole thing feels surprisingly solid for a western game. Super addictive too!

Yup, it was a big gathering for watching a football match and before the event there was beer and a session of videogames.

That's cool to see. I really enjoyed the game, which reminds me I never got round to completing it... :shifty:

Final grabbed this on PS4. Played a few hours straight which is more than I usually play an action game in a sitting.
Artistically it's stunning. I do however wish they simplified the controls a bit, I struggled for a while figuring out how to map 5 (or is it 6) buttons to a stick.

Tapping shot versus holding shot (for fixed posittion) could have eliminated 1 button.
Double tapping right/left could have worked for dodge I think.

Kinda ironic that the last arcade style game on PS4 I bought (and never got deeply into) was Caladrius which suffered from the same issues, a 6 button shmup that had me guessing at which button to press  :(

I too hate too many buttons. It's poorly designed controls IMHO.
