Trials Frontier (Android/iOS)

Post by cools »

Anyone else given this a whirl? Bit of a let down. Its Trials given a lick of paint by what appears to be the Rayman artist, and minus the obsessive restart grinding that made the others so great. You grind for upgrades, rather than records :/

I'm still playing and slightly hooked, however.

Takes a long time until it gets challenging, there's an awful lot of easy levels and repetition.

But the physics are as good as ever, it plays well. I still think its ruined - I'd pay for it if it was unruined - but as a free game its excellent. Shame it couldn't be the best thing on mobile.

Scales well too, I've seen it running on an S2 fine

Still playing, just about every day. I'm sure there's some sort of obsession going on with trying to beat the game without spending any money, though they keep adding things to it so I'm sure that's an impossible task.

The adverts are intrusive - fortunately AdAway gets rid of most of them.

Is anyone else playing it? Would be nice to have some leaderboard competition.

I'm not, but i loved trials 2. Can this be played with a BT controller? I was playing mad skills motorcros for a while but the touchscreen was too off-putting for me.

I don't think it can, though I've not tried - the only option in controls is to move the on screen buttons wherever you want.

Be warned, if you want to compete on the worldwide leaderboards you will need to spend large sums of real money. There's no way around this as the bikes need to be upgraded, which requires in game currency that's slow to acquire unless you pay.

I've been playing this for a few months and like you cools I've been doing it without spending real money. You have to grind for parts to upgrade a lot which can be a little anoying especially when you run out of diamonds and don't want to pay for more :awe: it is strangely addictive though, especially trying to clear a map as stylishly and clean as possible :)
