Re: PS Vita slim coming to the UK
I imported dragons crown (best game on vita) its the us version and works without issue on a UK formatted vita.
There are only a handful of decent games. It's such a wasted opportunity as the hardware is **** hot.
I would recommend gravity rush if you can find it cheap. It gets repetitive, but its fun none the less.

Re: PS Vita slim coming to the UK
I'm sure Gravity Rush is free on PS+ at the mo. I've not tried it yet though.
I agree - the hardware's truly excellent but it's been out for ages now and there's still a severe lack of good games. PS4 remote play is a great new feature but again there's no good games on that yet either, and you're tied to your house with that in any case.
I'm looking forward to Borderlands 2 as I loved the first but haven't played the 2nd yet.

Have never had any interest in buying a Vita. Handhelds become a paperweight here within about a week. Then I read about TxK.

Oh and if I did get a Vita... I take it there is no way of transferring UMD's to a memory card. E.g Darius Burst retail disc to Vita?

Ian there are ways to play PSP "games" on the VITA, but it involves all sorts of "things" that your virgin **** won't be used to!Pyongyang wrote:Oh and if I did get a Vita... I take it there is no way of transferring UMD's to a memory card. E.g Darius Burst retail disc to Vita?
Mine is a Japanese machine and plays fine with UK games and Japanese ones. You can even set-up two PSN accounts if you wish, but you'll need a memory card for each account.

Do elaborate? Everyting i've heard of requires specific firmwares and/or games that were removed from the store almost within seconds after the exploit being knownfagin wrote:Ian there are ways to play PSP "games" on the VITA, but it involves all sorts of "things" that your virgin **** won't be used to!Pyongyang wrote:Oh and if I did get a Vita... Another one of my Vita annoyances: when playing a PSP game, the Vita's network connection is lost and i have to manually reconnect to the network.

The thing I liked about the PSP CFW is that it was integrated.
This really isn't the case on the Vita.

Re: PS Vita slim coming to the UK
Anyone playing TxK yet?
I can only hope it sells enough to enable Minter to do more games on Vita (unlike Space Giraffe on the 360, which even I couldn't get into, no matter how hard I tried).

I've never played Tempest in any form. I might give TxK a bash at some point though.

Played that at expo. Pretty fun.
My mates a big fan of Jeff. But one of the first thing he said to him was that since giving up the weed he's been having murderous dreams. The conversation didn't last much longer. Lol

Re: PS Vita is Best
You can have it now if you want. I only wanted a Vita for Dragon's Crown.... and to pile more pressure on Pang to see if he buckles and gets one.

Can you still buy the OLED version? I'm thinking I should get one if they're being discontinued

Re: PS Vita is Best
A couple of deals appeared online this past couple of weeks for a 3G/WiFi solo unit for £120-ish. Seems to be stock clearance of the OLED model. Lots of deals to be had on eBay though, which is where I picked up my one. Seems to have arrived with a flat battery so hopefully it works after a quick charge... Now to learn about this PlayStation Network lark... and where do I get this TxK ye all speaketh of?FrancoB wrote:Can you still buy the OLED version?
