Finished Bayonetta 2 end of September. Bayonetta 1 is a better game than Bayonetta 2.
Correct.

That bad? I need to finish Mario + Rabbids too but that requires actual brainpower which is in short supply at the moment.
Gradually enjoying Rayman Legends. It's fantastic, but structurally it's a mess - I'd prefer it to be a little more linear and not so dauntingly sprawling.

It's not tenacity, it's convenience. My Switch is in a (locked) cabinet, and the games are in another (locked) cabinet. Because I'm only buying cartridges, it's a lot of faff swapping games - turn light on, find keys, decide game, fiddle about swapping cart, close cabinet, settle down. In the couple of hours a week I find to play games, I just pick up the controller and carry on with whatever is in the console.
I don't worry about 100% anything unless the game makes it relatively obvious about locations. Axiom Verge/Mario Odyssey = 100%, BOTW/Owlboy = not doing koroks or coins, pointless busywork.

VR is the ultimate in immersion. Something that Tetris, a game of intense focus, benefits from.
I’ve struggled to really engross myself in a game for 20 years tbh, I suspect that’s why VR is well liked by the middle-aged.

I can’t comment on the VR but playing with HDR and surround sound is a visceral experience that really gets you “in the zone”. It’s almost hypnotic. I suppose hardcore Tetris players might find it all a bit of an unnecessary distraction but as a big Mizuguchi fan and someone who’s never really got into Tetris, it’s a real rush.

I won’t be the first to say it, but it’s tetris gameplay with Lumines sound and visuals. The VR is just a little bonus.
This video convinced me to buy. I forgot how good DS Tetris was, despite putting hundreds of hours into it.

Thumper. Switch port, physical print. Some searches here threw up praise of the PS4 VR version. Adding my praise of the game too. Has a lovely 70s sci-fi aesthetic. Had to turn up the saturation on my TV to match the Switch in docked mode - was struggling to see the red colouring warning of the corners. First game that's made me hunch forward in a long time.
Makes me want a good F-Zero even more.
