Yeah, but for the difference in cost, its still enjoyable, depends what you're into.

I await the 'but I can get my 'investment' back buying a pcb' statement.

Only if you intend to sell :awe:

My bad, Dead Space & GOW2 are 3rd person shooters  Both are better than any of the FPS games I’ve played this year.

I don’t think I can rationalise anything I buy tbh. I can justify in my own warped way though. You can always make more money

I hate the investment argument.

The rest is all personal preference. Modern-ish example for me- Tony Hawks 1 & 2, superb games, loved them. Highly polished, nice controls, nice graphics. Dave Mirra - ugly, buggy, clunky (until you've played it so much the controls become second nature), and played about 10 times longer than THPS1 and 2 put together.

Yeah it's a console game, but it's a preference :)

Desert island games - DOJ or KZ2? ;)

heh yeah . DOJ please.

I must try dave mirra, I think I did before but sucked at it. TH1+2 were definitely the high points of that series.

Two more levels in and this is boring me. Every level, every enemy seems the same. Couldn't be more generic if it tried.

Finished it last night. It did pick up towards the end. The penultimate two levels are by far the most interesting so I'm glad I stuck with it. Overall though its a bit lacking in epic set pieces compared to its rivals and just plays like a generic COD clone. AI is good I must say and its really intense at times, the enemy are relentless. It looks pretty impressive too, high detail, amazing textures and lighting, but as with so many modern games it has a very dull brown/grey colour pallett and although the single player campaign is of a good length, it doesn't have the scale or variety of other, better FPS.

The only bad thing I can say about the game is that it does look pretty brown/grey. Other than that I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Unlike most FPS's out there Killzone 2 feels brutal. The weapons all feel really heavy and clunky and most of the helghast weapons soundreally nasty and loud. Iplayed it on hard and it's a pretty decent challenge, there are stupid amounts of enemies to kill especially on the last level. My only problem is i'm stuck on the very last section; it is ridiculously hard/I am amazingly rubbish.

I bought a PS3 to play this game (and nobi nobi boy) and i'm not disappointed. It gets my thumbs up.

I played it for around 30 mins. It's just like every other FPS. I agree that it "feels" more brutal though.

You get the impression that you are shooting something meaty rather than the paper thin enemies in some of the B grade FPS
