My blisters are already building up..... what will happen when the 720 is announced! I'm glad I have two hands.

Given that they didn't announce much we didn't already know: not in the slightest.

It's a normal computer running some different software? Yeah no; I'm sticking with Steam on my desktop.

The last time I got really excited over anything harware related was when the PSP was announced/released.

What does PS4 or whatever offer anyways? Better graphics?

Not bothered to be honest, knew most of it from a developer friend anyways and they've kept the same design joypad (which I hate).

More interested in the Microsoft offering at this point tbh.

Feels like the same sort of hype the PS2 had.

Already rumored that the next xbox will have some lame non lend able game security to stop the second hand game market

i see no reason why I should get excited for that device ... really: none.

Yeah, not great

I don't really care, my main modern console plaything is the FPS genre and specifically Halo so only things I'm bothered about is a decent joypad (with triggers Sony!), Bungie's Destiny and Halo 5.

Anything else is a bonus. I'd buy a PS4 for shmups but not much else unless they had a genuine killer exclusive. I find Microsofts XBL service far easier and quicker to use than PSN so Sony need to step up there as well (for me anyways).

We'll see, Sony's played their starting hand - time to see what you've got MS - show us your Durango!

I had a PS3 delivered on release day and apart from Metal Gear, Demon's Souls and Bluray I must've used it on less than 10 occasions since. The meagre quantity (& quality ) of the not so exclusive exclusives alone were never reason enough to buy this over a 360. Since the novelty of having a new machine wore off (after a week or so) my PS3's sat unloved with my 360 looking smugly down upon it's fat dust-magnet **** laughing.

Every time I put the bloody thing on there's another system update that takes seemingly ages to install prompting me to turn it off and doing something more worthwhile

I've been sorely disappointed with the PS3 and just can't get excited about it's successor.

Basically the same for me dude. It's not that I particularly hate Sony, more the PS3 has been and the 360 delivered

whats the media going to be i.e type of discs etc ,i haven't read up on it since the annoncement tbh, i was going to but well meh ,
the problem is i've bought the last 2 models i/e ps2 and 3 as they were either a handy blu-ray player or dvd players ...i'm not sure this has the same draw for me at the moment

Sony have apparently crowbarred a small touch screen into the joypad, Cos it really needs one of those

It comes with a Blu-Ray drive (double speed!), so I'm guessing they're sticking with that for this generation.

Not heard too much about it apart from the joypad design, I'll probably still buy it at some point, maybe not for the £500+ I paid for the PS3

Consoles suck fmv intros you watch once and same old orchestral epic type music. If I want that, then let's just watch a film.
