In the last 12 hours I checked it 3 times, and every time it seems to have risen by 4k!

Re: GCW Zero
Depending on if the kickstarter goes through, and from the momentum it's looking good, what colour are you guys going for? White or Black?
I can't decide...

I'll get black I think. No preference really but the last thing I got was a white 3DS XL.
Kern's waiting for a lovely rainbow edition.

70% Smashing it.
I looked through some other kickstarter projects. I'm interested in some but I feel they're usually asking for a bit much. I get an impression that some are hoping for far too much profit considering they're passing the risk on to investing customers.
I mean, vastly discounted "early bird specials"? Come on.

Re: GCW Zero
I'd love the white version, as with a lot of devices but I'll mostly be playing mine at work and I'm an ODB as I work in manufacturing so I'll have to get the black one.

Wow, more than $100,000.00. Never thought that they would get this far, tbh.
Wanted: SNK Candy 18 spares. Mainly looking for a marquee holder & the "video games" sign.

Re: GCW Zero
Same problem here. Everything similar I've ever bought in the past (GP32, GP2X, JXD, modded DS and PSP) has always been relegated to the cupboard after the first two weeks.instant_classic wrote:I am very tempted to pledge, just dunno if i would ever use the thing
Backlit GBA SP and a load of old Gameboy carts will do me just fine.

Re: GCW Zero
If it had a 5" screen I'd have had one, Trouble is once you've had a vita it's hard to look at 3.5" screens.
"Yeah lets all get ponys instead, wait no lol trendy cabs" Err I think you meant Ponies didn't you ?

Re: GCW Zero
I'm grabbing one for the infrequent urges I get to play old console titles. I could simply buy a PS3 controller and use bluetooth with my laptop/tablet but I prefer dedicated devices, and the emulators I've tried on android have all been a bit laggy. This is a set it up once then pick up and play in future thing.

DSXL / 3DSXL too. Other handhelds just seem too small.gargoyle67 wrote:If it had a 5" screen I'd have had one, Trouble is once you've had a vita it's hard to look at 3.5" screens.
The vita has a fantastic screen, but I can't find anything else positive to say about it. I'm becoming less & less tollerant when it comes to modern games, however I've had lot's of these things in the past, so can't bring myself to buy another.
I hope they succeed, but it just aint my bag.

Re: GCW Zero
I skipped everything after the GP32 apart from the Pandora. A friend had a couple of GP2Xs but the screens on them I really didn't like. All of the small-manufacturer Chinese ones were reviewed with poor screens or poor controls, and generally underpowered for what was required.markedkiller78 wrote:however I've had lot's of these things in the past, so can't bring myself to buy another.

Re: GCW Zero
Battery life, controls & underpowered CPU. If all those things are fixed, then it will no doubt be a nice little machine.

Re: GCW Zero
I've just remembered the GP32 had a terrible controller. It was one if those miniature microswitch sticks (like the NGP) and it felt lovely but had serious problems hitting diagonals, D/R being impossible on mine. I never fixed it myself, although I did open it up to replace the LCD once so I'm not sure why I didn't. Perhaps I tried but there wasn't much room for adjustment - just broken by design.
So yeah, Mark hits the nail on the head. Good controls, enough power and battery life and it's good.
