OK, so Ninty surprsed us with a AC Ltd Edition, sure you have all seen those.

After my initial excitement, and despite the unique design for the Dock I am a little disapointed on the overall design of the unit, think I prefer the covers for the LIte and any random fan make design that I posted before.

In any event if you want the Lite options, the covers are the only way to go, as they are only doing a Ltd edition for the Fat.

So here are some other options to dress up your Switch Fat;

Finally finished Ghost Trick the other night. Made by the same guy who did Phoenix Wright, and it shows - similar feel to the presentation and writing. Crops up on every DS hidden gem list, well worth playing.

Subsequently put Hotel Dusk in, which is apparently another hidden gem. Not feeling it. It's awkward and clunky to control, and the main character is a proper douchebag. It needs to pick up quickly or its back on eBay for it.

I tried Hotel Dusk back when I would still willingly give time to a game like that, and couldn’t click with it either, despite wanting to. At the time when the DS, touch screen gaming, and an older audience were quite new things it was part of a wave of interesting games with experimental styles, but I think it’s all been done better by now. And in hindsight you’re totally right about the douchebaggery. Maybe it’d have seemed cooler if I was a teenager. My memory tells me that the wandering around wasn’t soothed by visual variety or a compelling story, and it felt like too much endurance.

Please update your opinion if it does pick up though. Maybe the main character reveals layers of non douche.

Well Ghost Trick took me 3.5 months, and its an 8-10 hour game apparently. I know there were a few puzzles that took me a couple of hours each to crack.

Hotel Dusk may not get any more play, I started Blasphemous (Switch but multiplatform) which I am enjoying - it's sonically overly dreary but very well put together. Once I get a bit deeper I'll post some thoughts, it feels like one worth playing.

I played through Hotel Dusk somewhat recently. I like adventure games, but the game felt like a slog. It never picks up. Originally I had thought I would play it and Last Window back to back. Nope. Had my share of it, thanks.

Ghost Trick took me months as well to finish

Oh well, at least I paid a decent price for them I can make back - I've got Last Window too.

G-Loc is out on the Japanese e-shop.

I see Panzer Dragoon "dropped" as well. Will wait for reviews. Seems a bit suspect.

PD Remake's physical release goes on sale tomorrow, so those reviews better start pouring in soon...

I'm hoping Shinsekai - Into The Depths gets a physical release. That one also dropped today.

Long load times and 30fps for PD remake. Otherwise it's supposed to be good. Colour me surprised. Preorders for the physical release are up:

https://limitedrungames.com/products/sw ... er-dragoon, $40
https://limitedrungames.com/products/sw ... ic-edition, $60 (w/ long box US Saturn replica case and some art booklet)

I kind of want to order, but I'll probably never going to get a Switch. No other console release for it :(

Wasted 20 quid on this. The shooting feels broken somehow, rotating the view is sluggish and the enemies and their projectiles are often hard to see. It’s just not very enjoyable to play. Particularly disappointing as it doesn’t bode well for their Zwei port, and that’s a much better game. It’s a shame SEGA licensed this to a bunch of amateurs.

Just play Orta on Xbox One and unlock the PC port instead.

That's disappointing. I've read mostly positive comments for it. There's an update planned update to fix the aiming in a week or so. Hopefully they'll address the slow rotation as well.

Man, the original game really needs a good remaster. It just performs really bad on the Saturn. It's almost Star Fox levels of bad. Sub-20FPS the whole game.

Zwei on the other hand is awesome. I'm perfectly happy playing the Saturn game.

EDIT: what the hell, I was just looking at videos of the original and in the comments someone mentioned there's a cheat that you can punch in that apparently makes the performance way better.

Wizard mode. At the title screen: L, R, L, R, Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right.

Caveats: only works in the NTSC versions, desyncs the music and some background detail is cut.
