I'm getting too many singles at the moment

<trk>:I remember catching a big fat one and my friend said "throw it back in, that one already tastes like wood"

I was intentionally going all out. Singles are fine if you combo them.

I've done everything ,highest i get is 4th which is happening a bit

, 1 or 2 games I **** up myself but others the the huge dumping of garbage is killing me.
"it slowed down last night " and i thought i had my opportunity but i suppose everyone else thought so as well and so 4th again.

I've changed tact to get more Ko's but i suppose that leaves me as a target also.... I'm affraid to look at the stats and timed played !

If you can get 4th you can get 1st.
When at the end (and the speed is high) single line combos work a treat. If you’re already in for a few consecutive lines then try to keep it going. When the combo ends start building as neatly as you can again. Go for tetrises if you can but don’t go out of your way. Just keeping a very low neat stack is fine because incoming garbage will often give you a Tetris gift.
If/when you end up at the ceiling then (when you can) make the most of rolling during the lock delay, clear crap and then tetris with the garbage in a combo and it’ll send a lovely attack. A lot of wins are through crazy comebacks.
Badges are pretty important near the end, but if you’re going for your first win then I don’t really recommend going for them aggressively. Fate often gives you enough badges by the time you’re in the last few places.

Speaking of playing aggressively I’ve been experimenting lately with switching more often between targetting KOs and Attackers (and doing worse because of this).
Something special seems to only happen when targetting is set to Attackers and there are multiple. I’m trying to encourage this by setting it to KO while I build a stack and send just a few lines/tetrises, then once I’ve made myself a target through the retaliation of multiple people, switching to Attackers before sending a nice Tetris combo.
I should just google this really.

I’m already bored. I played it solid for a few nights until I got a 1st place
Played a few more and mostly get top 10 finishes, with the odd 86th

Without a 1p mode, I really can’t be bothered.
It’s a great freebie / inclusive game, but meh

I’m at about 20 wins and it’s still my only reason to pick up the Switch. I just got a win right now on the bog

. I win 10% of the time and I’m usually now trying to increase my K.O. record, which is at 19. The Tetris skill range is huge. The best players win every match. I’m still fully capable of getting 99th.
The ten minutes of intensity is so moreish, and there’s no clean up.

Finished Golf Story last night. 19hr+ to do the main and all the story type side quests I could find. The last course took about 20 retries whereas the rest of the game was a one and done, there's quite a large difficulty spike at the end.
Got Broken Age sitting on the shelf waiting for me next.
Tetris 99 is great but it spikes my adrenaline too much for before-sleep play.

Looks like the arcade version of Pokken will no longer have online functionality. Now there will only be local play.

However, online services for console version will continue.
