And now he has one. The Pro Controller is extremely good.

I stand by this. I prefer the shoulder + trigger buttons on the Pro Controller but the rest just feels wrong - like the OG Xbox controller did.

I’ve only twiddled it so I can’t comment on deadzone until I’ve used it to play a game. But very comfortable all round here.

That was it - I thought "ooh nice" until I tried to play DOOM and couldn't make any small adjustments to the aim without moving the stick 20 miles.

You find the Joycon okay for that? Tbh I’ve found every analogue stick since has failed to live up to the N64’s. Tiny deadzone, wide gradual movement. I could actually aim with that. Nothing else has really felt like analogue.

Yeah. They're not perfect but they're a massive sight better than the Pro Con IMO.

Found them not so great for small scale adjustments with BOTW bows though.

Everyone recommending motion control for it can naff off, that method is unusable in handheld so worthless learning.

N64 I remember being a bit grindy.

Shame you can't adjust the centre/deviation sensitivity on any console analogue. Deadzone on most of them is a bugbear of mine.

At one point every year I tell someone the N64 pad is underrated.

Dunno if it’s the deadzone or physical tightness and springiness of all the other analogue sticks. Certain N64 games port poorly - like the Zelda slingshot/bow challenges in OOT, or anything without auto aim.

It wasn’t perfect and isn’t as durable as the chunky analogue sticks of today. They end up developing a wobble. They’re still the best though. :whoopsie:

Aaactuallyyyy Hudson released an N64 controller with a sensitivity adjustment dial for the analog stick.

Depends what you class as cheap.... if you want originals.
We have a franchise called CEX or webuy here in the UK. They sell secondhand goods. Tons of cheap DS and 3Ds games. You fins have a place like that? Otherwise eBay where you can visually inspect your buy as I generally don't trust Amazon market place because you can't.

Guys, can you give me some recommendations for 3DS and DS games that focus on exploration? 3DS and DSi games need to be available in Europe.

What do you mean by exploration?

You need to play the first couple of Phoenix Wright games, at least.

By exploration I mean stuff like Zelda/Castlevania, maybe even JRPGs to some extent. I've been eyeing Fantasy Life but would like to know if there' something else out there. I'm really picky about what I want to play. Once I've set my mind on some fantasy world exploration, that's what I need to get.
