Is Danmaku unlimited 3 any good on switch? It’s £4.04 just now (€3.49 in SA)

Well worth the money. Stylistically very samey but the gameplay and bullet patterns are solid.

My copy should be shipping... soon. Celeste final DLC got pushed out so LRG can actually get it printed.

By reversing the primary account holder between two Switches, two people can share a downloaded game library while always logged in their own accounts. They need a Wi-fi connection or personal hotspot for a second at game launch.

I have this set up with my son and according to the internet, both users can play the game at the same time, even in multiplayer.

With Nintendo offering the double packs at discount, vouchers available at further discount, cheaper prices easily available on an international Eshop and all my game boxes sitting in a drawer, I’m very tempted to sell all the physical copies and go completely anti-cools.

You’ve been able to the above with Xbone and PS4 from the get go.

I like a physical, but occasionally digital is so silly cheap I can’t resist. **** paying more than the cost of a physical copy for a digital one. It’s wrong

I agree. Retail games are usually much cheaper on physical and Indies are MUCH cheaper through the eshop. Money talks. The value of convenience vs nicety-of-physical shifts on the Switch though. Switch boxes are cute little cases of meh.

Most of my collection are first party value holders so all things considered (although not actually checked) I’m guessing it might be a bit cheaper to convert most to digital.

Resale value is the obvious big loss but convenience and single-copy-multiplayer are big gains. Also, dunno if I’ll ever resell anyway. With it running on cheap standard mobile tech, everything points towards Nintendo’s next consoles being more like iPad upgrades for a while and therefore migrateable. They said before reveal that they were looking to put a stop to the barrier of unique computer components with each generation.

Physical tickles the nostalgia bone spending hard saved pocket money in the shops not knowing whether what you picked was decent, then waiting for tapes to load everytime you wanted to play, and borrowing/lending/swapping games with your friends.

Digital is the sensible stay at home, penny wise adult way of gaming.

I have enough grown up **** in my life.

On the rare occasions I think I’ll finally get round to playing Mario Odyssey, oh... Nathan’s taken it off in his Switch case. :problem:

That’s my main reason tbh.

This is all an interesting thought experiment about something I’ll never be arsed to do.

You’re right about physical romance. Wish my heart was in it more.

Despite my best efforts not to go digital and to mainly buy physical only :lolno: ,I've amassed quiet a few digital buys probably more digital that physical now :problem: .Now I don't mind when they are a fraction of the physical release and at a good price point ....But some of this has come down to a lot of the physicals being well overpriced for what they are.
Celeste was like 9/10 quid recently digital and the physical was like 45ish odd euro when you factored in shipping ! (no idea what if the digital included everything tbh#) **(also no idea what will eventually be on the physical ) but in other middling games its worked out similar. no way id ever buy any nintendo ip digital unless it has no resale value once serves go down.

I'm somewhat excited for the new game. Here's hoping the music holds up and is similar to the classic tracks, because I'm fussy.

Great isn't it :awe: I've just reinstalled it after a long hiatus. I had almost forgotten how much fun it is! Frame rate is much better after the update too. 8-)
