Seems expensive, Nintendo always seem to like to fail every other generation - I'd be amazed if this does well.

Hmm, it may be semi pricey, the PS3 was about £500 for a decent bundle to start with.
I think it may do well, you should have tons of existing Wii owners that might upgrade to it?

Yeah, I think it seems like a lot of money for what you get. I'll be waiting for the inevitable substantial price drop before I get one

I'll buy one if a good, new CAVE port appears for it. If not, forget about it. :awe:

The tablet's screen resolution is incredibly low for the asking price.

I can't really see where Nintendo is going really, I'd rather stick to playing stuff from the GC/GBA era.

I guess I'll get one, but my days of early adoption are over.
I don't think I'm Nintendo's intended target for this, and they haven't really done anything I have felt compelled to buy for a while now.
They seem stuck in a rut just now, producing updates to the same franchises over and over (how many Mario golf/tennis/whatever games do we need?).
That's not to say I am not sometimes swayed by their charms, I still really want Kid Icarus for my 3DS, but I haven't actually bought any 3DS or Wii games for some time now.

I'm sure Wii-U will either do well or be a repeat performance of the Gamecube. It's hard to predict how the market will react.

I'm going to have a play with one of these at the Euro Gamer Expo this coming weekend, I'll let you know my thoughts as I'm yet to be convinced as to the premise of this. . .

All launch titles will be available to play :awe:

Who is the intended audience? Just die-hard Nintendo fanboys? Pretty sure all casual gamers moved on to mobile games. Line-up doesn't interest me at all.

Well they obviously want to do another wii and capture the imagination of the masses with a fun new gimmick. By the way, these are toys, gimmicks are good things.

I can't see anything near wii levels though. After years and years of gradual graphical progressions on cod-u-like clone-a-games, the wii was a huge breath of fresh air as it showed us that a fresh new idea is all you need. Can't really see wii-u doing it so well again though.

But as long as Ninty give it a couple of killer titles, I'll be interested.

Don't know if I'll get one.

Wii was fun for a while, but I didn't really see any game making great and varied use of the new controller.
Don't really expect anything else from the Wii U.

Hopefully the next Nintendo console will be a VB remake in the style of the Sony headset.

It's a travesty... what's wrong with having on screen HUD, or popup windows for treasure chests... or better ****ing yet have the DS/3DS be the optional controller!!! Remember the gamecube BGA link.. why didn't they just interface the DS with the Wii in the same way? It would basically be the same thing as a WiiU, ugh.
