I managed to stick an order in on Amazon for £199 for the black premium pack, I will be giving it a go. I can't really resist a shiny new console Plus I love that new console smell ....mmmmmmmm new console smell

Re: Wii U
I have this disease too (peripherals sometimes included) It's the only reason I was tempted by the Atari Jaguar years ago (my wise parents never did buy me one...) and why I bought Kinect on release There's nothing quite like unboxing and setting up a new console thoughinstant_classic wrote:I can't really resist a shiny new console
I have to admit I've not been paying attention to the progress of the WiiU and know little about it. I like the design of the console itself and if Bayonetta 2's going to be an exclusive then... ggnnngghh
I bought a Wii on release then lost interest in it pretty quickly and gave it to one of my mates as his wife was harping on about getting one for Wii Fit. There were a bunch of games I wanted to play on it eventually but the vague controls tended to put me off. I know they were improved later on with motion plus but I couldn't rekindle my interest. I'm not a massive fan of all that motion sensing and gesture recognition stuff really tbh
I'm not entirely closed-minded though so I'll have a look at the other things that WiiU's promising, give it some consideration, and maybe pick one up further down the line. It certainly won't be a pre-order and day of release purchase for me though

Re: Wii U
I've had a lot of fun with the Wii, but I dunno about the U.. The controllers are ridiculous, they'll break the first time you get **** off at a game and throw them.

Re: Wii U
Really shows off new and innovative controls.pubjoe wrote:This looks quite fun:
Reminds me of back in school when me and my mate used to draw pages of ridiculously long donkey kong maps.
The only innovation that added something unavailable with other methods of control on the Wii was the sensor bar, available in arcades for the past decade or more but never in homes. The Wii U's new thing is a touchscreen...
