The Postman's just delivered the Majora's Mask 3D Special Edition box set. The steel book case is really nice and the badge is quite small but ok. The poster is folded up and I didn't even remove it from the baggy :problem: . As always though I've surgically removed the game and put everything back in the box, which is now in the drawer upstairs with the rest of the 3DS boxes. So I suppose that makes getting the box set pretty **** pointless :awe: :problem: I should probably stop doing this.......

Now I want to know when they're going to dispatch my New XL is so I can play the sodding game.

Played a bit of (Wii) Punchout today with Nath. Have I ever mentioned how great this is? I recommend anyone pick it up - especially as it's usually about a fiver. A cheapy but a goodie. I'm even pro motion-controls with this. ...Though that is optional.

It really does a justice to the original. All those little clues and tricks, and the in-game character personalities have been fleshed out wonderfully. It still abuses stereotypes to a borderline offensive level. Some of it's kind of toned down a bit, but then some extra has been added - Piston Hondo doesn't shout "Kamakaze! Origami! (etc)" between rounds but he does see Sushi when he's dizzy, and there are worthy additions like the extremely camp Disco-Kid. Also, the ( 5-second :awe: ) montage cutscenes are genuinely funny.

Also, while I thought there was no replacement for Mike Tyson (the best celebrity/game tie in ever), they actually found one, and it's kept a secret for the whole game! - unless you look very closely at the silhouettes in the audience.

Club Nintendo Europe now has a bunch of Wii U and 3DS download games redeemable by star points. Not a bad use of leftover points. Personally I'll count on them remaining available until the September closure and hold out incase anything special comes along in the meantime.

I still prefer this "living in 2001"-Nintendo compared to what the other current consoles have to offer.

I'll give it a try when it's out but I'm just not feeling Splatoon. Looks like an Xbox game trying to be Nintendo-but-cooler.

Yes! You've taken the words out my mouth. I'm not keen on the style of it, but I'm gonna give it a go to see if the gameplay wins me over.

Splatoon reminds me of something Sega could have made during the Dreamcast era. I'll give it a try.
