Re: Super Nintardbros!
N64 controller was great. Not compact like that Hori above but does that actually solve anything other than the worry of looking a bit of a **** holding a three pronged freak controller?
The main thing I liked about it was an analogue stick that felt like analogue. You could actually aim with it. Modern ones always feel so tightly sprung that I instinctively tap them like a d-pad instead of using a range of graduation. I'm sure they stay firm a lot longer though.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
Yeah it's a lot more balanced. Definitely try to pick one up if you can.
If you hold the N64 pad, your hands aren't aligned - your left hand is a lot lower than your right hand. It feels more like you're holding the centre piece as the main part and then your right hand is tacked on to the side. I always found this really uncomfortable.
The hori one feels like a proper balanced traditional controller, with both hands in the same position.
The analog stick is also far lower profile and with a wider head for your thumb and wider stalk, so your finger doesn't slip off and movement is just nicer.
Overall it just feels more like a Gamecube controller than an N64 one.

Fair enough. I've never really felt discomfort with the N64 pad. I forgot to mention it's also comfy, but I guess that's subjective.

Always found the n64 controller fairly comfortable myself tbh way more natural than the say Xbox controller which I still am meh on to this day
<trk>:I remember catching a big fat one and my friend said "throw it back in, that one already tastes like wood"

I know I'm pretty much repeating mysef here but...
Orig. Xbox (both variations), Dreamcast and the Gamecube controller were all awful. But the N64 controller? *chefs kiss*

Watched until they started showing the map. I'm sure it'll be good, great maybe. Avoiding journaspoilerism.

Wonder how ridiculous it'd be to run this 4-player in a Red Tent.

Wasn't a fan of the NSMB games, but I'm really enjoying SMB Wonder. It feels really fresh and full of humour and new (borrowed) ideas. It reminds me of Rayman Origin/Legends in places, which is a very good thing.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
It's great. I liked the NSMB games enough but no one would deny that they went stale long ago.
I've only played Wonder in multiplayer so far. One 3p session and one 4p session. The screen zoom level doesn't change like in NSMB games so you're a bit cramped. It's a game of keeping within screen range or you'll get 'bubbled' and have to swim to revive yourself, until you win camera lead privileges. Which is fun tbh, but it's very distracting from all the new ideas. Makes me wish I was playing alone to savour it.

Konami's Contra, Castlevania and Arcade Anniversary Collections are all £1.59/€1.99 each on the eshop. Which is nice.
