Meaning Nintendo don't have a real pocket sized system for the first time in... 30+ years? That'll be smartphones I guess.

Its a shame. The OG 3DS had decent controls, but the New 3DS was better in every other way while making the circle pad far worse.

From Eurogamer:

"As reported by Kotaku, Mario doesn't say "gay Bowser" or anything of the sort in the Mario 64 that's in Super Mario 3D All-Stars on Nintendo Switch. Instead, Mario says "buh-bye!" as he throws Bowser. And, it seems, that's because Nintendo has emulated the Super Mario 64 Shindou Pak Taiou version for the collection.

The little-known Super Mario 64 Shindou Pak Taiou version was released in Japan in 1997, a year after the original, and includes some key differences. One of these is Mario says "buh-bye!" as he throws Bowser, and that's apparently because Bowser is known as King Kooper in Japan, and so the "gay Bowser" line had to be replaced."

I don't know if this is true. I don't read Kotaku.

Toki is 80% off. I’m very fond of the arcade game. It’s a nice relaxing patience test and Toki has such casual animation. Bitd I played it enough to memorise, beginning to end. Mainly because it was 10p per play.

The remake has quite nice art. I’ve never yet got round to buying it. Even at £2.68 I’m not sure I can move past what they’ve done to my cute and calm-natured little chimp.

Same, have the odd memory of playing this bitd but have never been tempted to buy it in its rebooted form, probably for similar reasons although i do like the cover outside of the chimp
....but I've also noticed recently that historically I've also shyed away from sequels and reboots for the most part for some odd reason (maybe influenced early on by quick cash grab sequels bitd ,(resident evil re-make and mk being exceptions ) it took me years to adopt other versions of SF over SF WW

yeah its different to tetris 99 as I'm not sure whats going on either :awe: All my deaths were just bad jumping habits by me mostly ,I've only played a handfull 6/7 games though just to see what it is like ,I don't feel the same impending doom of tetrominos being lobed over on me with it which is good so far .

Having bowsers and dozens of goombas showing up on 1-1 and using coins to buy random power ups while racing against time is something I could see people enjoying longer than half a year, yeah.
