Ahead of its time. Could've salvaged some of SNKs image if Aruze had given it a chance :problem:

I'll be buying one just for Pilot Wings (Amazing game when it came out on the snes) but I'll wait for a price drop or get one SH when all the hype dies down.

See HMV are giving you a £20 off voucher if you go to the opening event, and extra trade in value for the old ds units

I hear the DS backwards compatibility is pretty poop, with the display options being either stretched and ugly or letterboxed to about the size of a postage stamp. Probably better to keep hold of that old DS...

As rumored everywhere, 3DS is compatible with several DSi linkers.
rumors are starting that Linkers+3DS=Brick.
So be careful and should wait for further informations.
It looks like that few japanese users reported that the console became unusable(OS wont boot) after few hours of playing with romz and linkers.

I played 3DS in store, they are very sophisticated with good 3D images, but a little too complicated. Too much function buttons, and it is very heavy. I'm afraid of dropping it more than ever.

Very good console overall :awe:

Someone at TNT has nicked my 3DS and 3 games out of the boxes and resealed the shipping bag.

Got mine today, with Pilot Wings and Ridge Racer. The 3D is very good, I have also tried my DSTwo card which has been updated with latest firmware and play a few games and tried my saves. No problems, every thing worked.

As for bricking machines, I believe its against the law in the UK and USA. When you purchase the console you have the rights to use the goods as advertised. They can prevent you accessing services much like Xbox 360 owners who get kicked from live.

The 3DS has been out in Japan for a while now and I have not heard of any reports of bricking on the popular sites like Gbatemp etc.
