Yes thats correct. You'll also get into problems when you try playing content from different regions in non-hd resolutions. For example: Japanese ps3, trying to play a EU game in 640p. That might or might not work, some games will simply not work at all. Eventhough there is no region lock, it still won't work.

Ok but playing anything in 720p will be problem-free right? I mean everything will be 60hz refresh rate?

Ok, so u reckon still worth getting the SLG for 576p... :/ Or trying it on higher resolutions?

Whatever floats your boat, but I personally don't see any use for it at anything higher than 480 lines.

Guess ill just be using it for the 360 then.. what a big disappointment.. :( Was looking forward to revisiting all my classic mega drive games on the ps3 and trophy hunting for them! DAMN :(
