Sure I read somewhere that the ages of the girls had been changed for the PAL release.

Please refer to this clip and ask if the PAL version is as slow down-free as the NTSC-US one:

To the left NTSC-US to the right arcade PCB.

Interesting. The guy playing without slowdown appears to be doing better than the guy on the PCB. More bullet cancelling and all that.

Not played it enough to notice - but to my eyes the guy with the slowdown is bombing just as much :think:

I'm not quite sure why the comparison video is showing DeathSmiles MegaBlack label (which has **** slowdown even on the JP port), when the real issue with the US port is slowdown on the original arcade version (which was pretty close to the arcade on the JP release). MBL has always been screwy.

In any case, the PAL release is almost certainly going to be the same as the NTSC/U release :{

Also: On MBL bullet cancelling doesn't do anything score-wise (like a flat 100 each or something, and don't add to the multiplier - pretty worthless).

I don't imagine the people at Expo will know anything about the slowdown, but I'll ask. Its definitely there though:

Lovely. That upskirt shot of Rosa will surely make sure this game is a hit in Europe. :awe:

I spoke to a guy on the stand, so none of this is concrete but he said:
It's the US version, ie without the slowdown
They will probably do an LE including soundtrack and art book
Early next year release and he had no idea about pricing
Will include black label

I've not played it yet as there is always a few people playing it at the stand

I had no idea about the slowdown being pulled out of the US release...I guess when I decide to finally get a JP360 I'll have to grab the JP version of Deathsmiles as well...*sigh*

Aye, I stopped buying Edge when it started disappearing up its own ****. I remember the exact issue that made me stop - it was one with an 'average gamer' pointing a Guncon at his head. The metaphor there being that gamers themselves are destroying our industry by buying sequels, crap games and shovelware.

What a load of old hairy elitist ballbag.
