Re: The Halo Reach Around
Originally it was supposed to be a dlc package, but unfortunately Microsoft sought bigger returns and subsequently the game was put out as a full retail package.SuperPang wrote:Really? I found it the most coherent of all of them. At least you don't forget what happened an hour after you turn the console off.tetsujin wrote: confusing story
ODST would've fared better as DLC but as a halo 3.5 I thought it was well put together. Also, cast members from Firefly and BSG = Win!

Re: Halo Reach For The Stars
Halo 1 - good for it's time, although I still don't understand how they got away with recycling sections of the stages over and over without complaint.
Halo 2 - Good idea to tie in two stories, but broken. The enemies were either plain stupid or stupidly hard (esp. last few stages) and the ending was anti-climatic.
Halo 3 - Great evolution and great fun while it lasts, which feels about 3 hours or so.
ODST - Really enjoyed the flashback storytelling and the camaraderie aspect in this one. The hub was a little trying, but the game wasn't long enough for it to be a serious issue.
Reach - So far the one player is the most adventurous and exciting of all, although I'm too stuck on multiplayer to get through it.

Always outnumbered, never outgunned.

Re: Halo Reach For The Stars
Finished Reach on pussy mode (normal) yesterday, will be starting a Legendary co-op run tomorrow., The ending was quite emotional. Probably the best campaign so far, Bungie really went all out with this one. There's been a huge increase in detail, Reach now feels like a lived on planet and apart from a few framerate dips and weird gfx glitches, it looks great. As usual, the soundtrack is fantastic.

Started my solo Legendary run though I've only finished the first level due to spending all my time in matchmaking. Managed Halo 3 and ODST solo Legendary, but then those 2 didn't have Elites.

Re: Halo Reach For The Stars
Been resisting another 360 for a while (too noisy). The slim normal is too shiny, and the slim 4GB requires a HDD to get the most out of it (and is noisy without it).
This one matches my amp, had 2 pads and a game in the box, and is bloody quiet.

Re: Halo Reach For The Stars
Yeah that too.
Should probably play Halo 3 before I make a start on Reach...
First I need to find a copy of Red Dead Redemption cheap though.
