now that's service, ordered at 11.15 shipped @12.05 ! now the inevitable month long wait for the post!

Played this for an hour or so and I reckon it's easily the best non cave stg on the box, fun too.

To me it plays like cross between Dangun feveron and Ketsui X mode. A bit slow to start off but really kicks in to gear just after the third level mid boss.

Couple of random thoughts.

Borrows heavily from Cave but doesn't play like a Cave game
Music is pretty meh, but not irritating
Bullet patterns on the first two level are a pretty uninspired
Game menus and **** don't rotate with the game
Medals are a nice touch
3D backgrounds are lovely
A couple of really nice set pieces
Breaking bosses apart piece by piece is great

It cracks me up to see the die hard Cave fans hating this game. It's not **** by any means (much akin to the generic FPS on the 360) and it's infinitely better than any of that Cyber Front/Triangle Service ****.

I can believe that. I have just had a look at EOJ's review tho, he ran it groundward.

The first three levels you might as well park your ship near the top of the screen, tape down the A button and go make yourself a cup of coffee.

I tried playing this again after not touching it for two weeks. Got fed up after five minutes. After you beat it, there's just nothing left to do...

So there's some DLC available now. Someone buy it and tell me if it redeems this game in any way.
