Nintendo Switch: Great Games

Post by CTN »

In this thread I would like to collect all the good games that are available on the Switch. This is not supposed to be a top 10 list, let's collect the games in no particular order.

Mario Odyssee
Raiden 4 Mikado
Asterix & Obelix slap em all
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Trails of Mana
Streets of Rage 4
Paper Mario Origami King
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
Triangle Strategy
Zelda BotW
Zelda LA
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania
Mario Kart

The problem is that "great" depends greatly on taste so its pretty much impossible to define such a list :) For games that "people" think are great you could look at the metacritic switch alltime list for example.

Thing is. I think this forum has a afinity for arcade style gameplay and 90s games in general.
That's why I'm more interested what the people here think than metacritic.

It’s just dawned on me 3 weeks later that I was thinking of Link’s Awakening :shifty:

LBW’s great too though.

+1 for Rolling Gunner. If you're into very well designed bullet hell shooters you need to get it.

Pretty much any of the SEGA Ages releases on Switch. Fantastic stuff.

I'd also recommend Sonic Mania Plus - not a Switch exclusive, but plays great on it. Also Sonic Origins too.

Bayonetta 3 is great. A modern game but if you like action games you will enjoy it.

So I had a go at Trails of Mana.
40 hours of simple fun as expected.

Panzer Dragoon is on sale right now until the end of the month. So maybe i'll give it a shot for old times sake.

But is it just me or are too many of the games warmed over stuff. I would like something "new" for a change.
