Re: Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection
Not going to happen that easily. Samurai Shodown V uses huge mask roms. That's why you don't see conversions of Special.
This said, I'm sure the ROM will be extracted pretty quick and people can play it on their flash carts.

Re: Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection
Is that good or bad? I am really hoping someone can extract the rom to play on a NeoGeo.

Re: Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection
My initial impression was bad - mixed pixel sizes = no thanks. Further thought - scaling graphics up (towards the player) has always given the same result and we've been wowed by this on older hardware.
It might look a bit strange in action. Sprites getting sharper the further away they are. Probably depends how large the screen is.

Really needs to be seen in action, but I could see it working well. Neat idea in any case and I can always appreciate something that's not a simple emulation cash grab like most ROM re-releases.

I went for the Limited Run version with the fake MVS box, that swung it for me.

Re: Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection
This is impressive. There's tons of bonus material (not just your usual "gallery" but videos and stuff) and the games look fantastic. HD sprite scaling works great and I think this is the first retro port I've played with dot by dot scaling and well implemented scanlines turned on by default.
Would be interested to hear what someone who knows the games better thinks about the slowdown. I feel like there's less but I might be wrong.
