Taito MT-8 - The info thread - Pic heavy

We found a few Taito Mt-8 cabinets and are eager to pick them up. Since there's more than one cabinet we would like to offer this as a group buy. I think everyone on this board knows how rare this cabinet is. There was not one single photo online until a few days ago.

So here's the plan:
Wurstkopp and me are going to rent a sprinter/crafter/lorry and drive the 2000km to pick up the cabinets and bring them to my warehouse near Frankfurt. After that we will make the cabinets ready for palletet transport.

Condition of the cabinets:

• They come all with original keys and locks.
  Headphone jack on panel + volume knob!
  Screens are original.
  Also the panels.
  They come with original marqueeholders.
  Professionally reproduced aluminium panels with original artwork will cost about 35€.

The condition of the cabinets is rather filthy but they are all working, they need a good scrub and probably a paintjob.

Conditions:
First come first serve. We have 5 cabinets spare. Considering van rental and gas prices we have to take 500€ + shipping to you. A pallet will be around 150-200€ (uk & france) depending on your location.

If paid, I can store them as long as you want. We just need 5 people to make this happen.

A few more details: the yellow tubes on the side are actually fluorescent tubes Cab also comes with a light installed underneath the cab. All startes seem to be broken though.

Well, it depends on the shipping companies daily rate. But yeah, around that. I will try to find out exactly quotes for the UK.

As much as I like the idea of plugging my Sennheisers into one of these, I'm not up for another project and it's curves aren't turning me on anyway.

This needs to happen though. I want to see some MT8's given a good home.

Any chance you could find out how good / bad the monitors ate in advance?

I would take one if it had a nice monitor. Not expecting a miracle, but can't imagine I would find a replacement.

Wäre auch dabei. Hab noch etwas überzeugungsarbeit zu leisten, aber ich krieg das hin.

Würde ihn aber direkt abholen, brauche keinen Umweg über Frankfurt und eine Spedition. Ist nur 200km von mir.
