Jim here. Been lurking for a while and finally decided to join.

I'm living and working (as a game dev) in Japan at the moment (originally from the UK), but also run a website about Japanese arcades and gaming,
called Japanese Arcade : http://japanesearcade.com/.

Don't actually own any arcade cabs (Japanese houses are a bit too small for that) but do have a Metal Slug slot machine though.
One day, who knows, maybe I'll get a cab...

Congrats on the move to TX. I can definitely say it's amazing near Houston. Good food, entertainment, atmosphere, variety, etc. Happy to know a knowledgeable AO member is moving in. Certainly wouldn't mind chatting or gaming some time.

Questions abound. I've read all the guides/rules, but still mostly lost on how to track one down. (Without massive overseas shipping costs.) Definitely feel free to share any tips, or chat.

And yeah, those are some slick cabs. Visually, the Vewlix is my favorite cab by far. I'd love to find one for a decent price.

Long time console, arcade, and pinball collector. Picking up candy cabs here and there the past 10 years or so. Lots of trips to Japan for PCBs. Co-founded a non-profit dedicated to games preservation.

Now it's time for some arcade games, and I became the new owner of Virtua Striker 4 v2006 (Triforce type3 in Naomi cab). Also have Naomi and SNK MVS PCBs.
