Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello all I'm James, and although spectacularly late to the hobby I recently got myself an Egret 2 fixer-upper which will one day shine again. My childhood memories of arcades are at the UK seaside but I'm in Melbourne, Aus now which has advantages and challenges in successfully sourcing items.
My interest is currently mainly in cab restoration, with a side of fabrication and modification if something can't be restored/bought.
Hoping to learn a lot and contribute to the community!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
I've recently found myself back in the arcade scene. Now I'm learning board repair, but I'm not very good yet. I've fixed 3 4-slot Neo Geo boards, and I'm working on a Centipede and Pac-Man now. I've got a Cliff Hanger about 99% complete now, I've been playing with Lupin the Typing, and one day I'll find the legendary Taito original version of the "Lupin III" game.

Hey, I'm Sean, I'm from Houston, TX.
I'm relatively new to the scene and kind of feeling things out as I go, but I'm mostly concerned with candy cab info, if I'm gonna be honest.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi, Henrik from Sweden here.
Some Swedish people here on the board might recognize me from arkadtorget.
I'm a long time arcade collector and shmup player.
I'll soon start selling some stuff from my collection so that I'll be able to travel the world and run

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi everyone!
First excuse my english => I'm french so I don't want to make effort because my language is the best in the world and the most talked like every one know in my country )
I'm 34 and I started arcade 4 years ago, just before having my first child!
Before that I collected old video games.
Now I have got a Astro City (with NAC platinum inside) and this is my only terminal (it is installed in the living room and it will be difficult for a second before a future move ).
Before I had a New Games N'styl than I completly renovated (capkit, THT, T-molding, painting ...) with a PC and Hyperspin.
Now it's finish with a lot of games and just want some good real arcade games.
My favorite games are Fighting (like Soul Calibur!) and shoot them up (like Mushihimesama!).
For me arcade it's a great passion and the best is when you share it IRL

Hi, I'm OutRunner, editor of the blog beepgamecenter.wordpress.com. I'm not a big fan of forums, but I decided to register -again- in Arcade Otake, because I believe that this is the most active community of this small world of Japanese cabinets. Greeting from Spain!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hey there!
I should have registered before in here, so it's my first post.
I'm sure I have pretty much a lot of neo-geo.com members in here too, site where I'm registered for about 14 years.
I'm more into arcade gaming than consoles, so I guess it's gonna be cool to hang around here.
This is just a "hello everybody" post.
For others than doesn't know about me, you might have heard of the SEGA Hammer Away discovery. I'm one of the 3 people involved
and wanted to share the game for free to everybody.
OK... Now back to some soldering jobs I have to do!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello I'm Matt, I'm a software engineer and gaming enthusiast.
I've had a couple of upright cabinets in the past (A Killer Instinct cab converted to use a PC with MAME and another MAME'd up generic cab which I forgot the name of) and recently a mate and I have decided to take on restoring a Sega Rally twin sit down. I'm hoping to pick the brains of some of you experts on this forum, contribute with anything I think might be useful, and have a nose around at other peoples projects too!

Finally signed up for an account. Long time lurker. Love candy cabs and own a few. Have a few minor clean up projects going on on a couple of Net City cabs and an Astro City cab. I should feel right at home.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello,
I am Thomas from germany.
I growed up in the early 80s as teenager with donkey kong and centipede, moon patrol and so on....
Today I am collecting and playing neo geo mvs, on my cmvs, trying to do my fullset in a few years
Now my next goal is to buy a candy cab to play my mvs and perhaps some pcb. I am completly new into candy caps.
I think a new astro city will be a good choice or? Any advice?
I am sure I will find lots of good informations here in the forum. Glad to be here.
