Hello all,

been here a while i guess, lurked mainly.

Originally from Cumbria, UK - now living in Tokyo, been here for a few months shy of 10 years.

Was collecting PCBs a long while back - from 2000 - 2008 and decided to sell up, cash out, etc before purchasing property and before our first kid arrived. Had 4 Astrocities and about 100+ boards, stv carts, Neogeo etc. as well as Mame rig in one of the ast for checking my memory of certain games wasn't clouded by time before i bought.

(Un)fortunately, i got the bug again and decided to get back into things via the supergun route. Despite vowing to take it slowly, i've managed to pick up a fair number of boards (30 or so?) since restarting in August or so. It's actually really good to be back in the mix. :D Though now i wake up in a cold sweat at night, when i recall that i sold Cannon Dancer and a load of other goodies. :/

Fav games ? Hmm.. changes by the day! Scramble, Phoenix, Space Harrier, Robotron, etc etc.
And a bit of a sucker for all things Capcom/Sega at the moment.

Glad to be here :)

I could have swore I had an account already. Blarg! I'm up in the Bay Area and I've been collecting arcade hardware since 96'. I dabble a bit in everything. Even pinball machines. :)

I came by to see if there was a new, cheap source for pcb feet/spacers (I'm looking around for the marketplace board rules and when it becomes available to new users...but haven't found anything) and tips for fixing my pile of non-working PCBs. :P

Hi John Bud, I am Parris, the guy who you've spoken to on Jamma+ and said he'd help you out with the Naomi. It's easier to contact me here via PM to be honest, so let me know when you need the Naomi taken to pieces and I'll arrange to be there.

;-) Welcome to AO !

Hi, I'm Tom. I'm mainly registered on this board to look at the gallery, and I'm mainly posting here to see if I can get "You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post." to go away.

Anyways, I'm located in the middle of the US. I really like candy cabs, and have, surprisingly actually seen Japanese sit-at candy cabs in arcades around here. One nearby theater has one with a Japanese multi-Mappy board in it for some odd reason. :eh: Unfortunately, I don't have the money for one now. I do have an American woody cab-- SNK POW dedicated - Dynamo manufactured, with a rotatable screen at my parent's house. I have a Naomi GD-ROM setup here at my apartment, which I just plug into my computer's monitor and speakers. Still trying to rig up controls for it, and I have one control panel partially wired up, but only player 1 so far.

Jon reporting in from the States. Surprised the wife recently by bringing home an MVS conversion cab and she didn't kick me out of the house. I've taken this as a sign that she would be okay with me bringing home a Candy Cab. Hoping to learn more about it all here...
