Hi forum.

I'm Mark and I'm from Scotland. Not a huge collector, but I've been a huge fan of videogames ever since playing Hard Hat Mack and Alley Cat when I was a kid.

I have a handful of famicom games, and a consolized CPS2 with Zero, COTA, and MSH vs SF.

On the look out for Zero 2 and ST (or Anniversary)

Looking forward to being part of the forum.

Hi all! New to Arcade Otaku. As you might infer by my username, I'm really into shmups. I'm from Salt Lake City, UT and bought my first arcade machine in 2020, and it was a slippery slope from there...

I've got two Blast Cities, an Astro, and two P-Ras machines, as well as some fun boards and a small collection of CV-1000 games.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hi, all! I'm from Italy and an early arcade collector, you can find me with the same nickname on KLOV, ArcadeItalia, etc.

I own more than 500 pcbs and 15 cabs (raster and vector). I love repair arcade stuff (monitors, pcb, etc.) in my spare time and bring them back to life.

Looking forward to being part of the forum.

Hey Kyle,
you do have some really nice stuff. What's your favourite Cave shmup? Can you clear any?
I am trying the dodonpachi games recently, but feel out of practice.
Anyway, welcome mate!

Hi! I’ve been into 2D arcade shooters for a long time. In the past I owned PCBs of Sky Shark and Raiden Fighters. The built a supergun at one point Now I mostly just mess around with MiSTer and PVMs and arcade sticks and Japanese 8-bit games.

Hello everyone!

I've always wanted a candy cab - For a few of my teenage years, I spent a lot of time in Japanese arcades, and ever since have been into all kinds of arcade-style games. Well, I finally obtained a Super Neo Geo 29 not too long ago, and to play all the games I love on original hardware is a dream. That is, until the other day when I completely blew the sound after hooking up a CPS2 board with a broken volume button (set to MAX apparently, hah). My games are played in silence to the crickets at the moment :P - I'm a newbie with an arcade machine, so I hope to be able to get some help with that soon (can't post a new topic yet, haha).

But anyhow - Aside from seeking technical help - I'm looking forward to just browsing and talking all things arcade games, as well as seeing other people's setups and the such. I love these cabs - their look and function - so it's cool to come across this community.

Hi. Some of you might have seen me asking dumb questions for the last 18 months on A-P.

I’ve long collected modded consoles, but only got into original arcade hardware just last year. I saw OpenMVS as my ticket to an inexpensive AES alternative, but before I sent my MV—1C off to a modder, I had to get a supergun, PSU, USB/DB15 adapter, and MVS cartridge to test it. Once I had a supergun, I slipped inexorably beyond the arcade collecting event horizon. Now I’ve got two candy cabs with a third on the way, plus a small collection of PCBs with multis (mostly Capcom and Sega). Also, this hobby finally forced me to learn to solder. 😛

Current project is to git gud at shmups after many years of coin feeding.

Hi everyone,

Oneku82 from France here. The kind of 80's kid stuck between a cab and a flipper at the bar.
I'm looking for all kind of information as I plan to get a japanese candy cab for use with a multi game device.
