I got into arcade approx. 3 years ago. I'm lucky to have 2 Japanese cabs (1 yoko, 1 tate) and I essentially play shmups. Also, I"m addicted to Dodonpachi ^^
Dodonpachi is a wonderful series! Great to have you on board

Specifically dreaming of an LCD candy cab (Namco Blanc, Lindbergh, cheap Vewlix, etc.) A humble corner of arcade bliss. My dream.
Very much hoping to find guidance on that, plus maybe meet some like minded arcade geeks along the way.
I wandered in here when no one was looking, have no idea how any of this works, and I'm touching stuff on the shelves unsupervised.
Just dont break anything LOL also nice to have another states side user especially Texas I am planning to move there! If you have any questions just let us know. I think my favorite HD cabs are the Taito Viewlix L's and Lindbergs
Jim here. Been lurking for a while and finally decided to join.
I'm living and working (as a game dev) in Japan at the moment (originally from the UK), but also run a website about Japanese arcades and gaming,
called Japanese Arcade : http://japanesearcade.com/.
Don't actually own any arcade cabs (Japanese houses are a bit too small for that) but do have a Metal Slug slot machine though.
One day, who knows, maybe I'll get a cab...

Well, I guess I'll see you on the forums.
Cheers,

Welcome!
Took a look at your site, very cool stuff. Fell in love with the MS diorama. Do want!

It was like that before I broke it.
Congrats on the move to TX. I can definitely say it's amazing near Houston. Good food, entertainment, atmosphere, variety, etc. Happy to know a knowledgeable AO member is moving in. Certainly wouldn't mind chatting or gaming some time.

Questions abound. I've read all the guides/rules, but still mostly lost on how to track one down. (Without massive overseas shipping costs.) Definitely feel free to share any tips, or chat.
And yeah, those are some slick cabs. Visually, the Vewlix is my favorite cab by far. I'd love to find one for a decent price.

Thanks.
Finally achieved my arcade wish! My first, and favorite, cab! (Vewlix F.)
Hey! I haven't been around in a long time but just connected with another collector and he reminded me to stop by!
Long time console, arcade, and pinball collector. Picking up candy cabs here and there the past 10 years or so. Lots of trips to Japan for PCBs. Co-founded a non-profit dedicated to games preservation.
Great to be back and looking forward to getting back into the wonderful world of candy cabs!
My name is Alexander, I'm from Ukraine. Last ten years I've been collecting various game console stuff.
Now it's time for some arcade games, and I became the new owner of Virtua Striker 4 v2006 (Triforce type3 in Naomi cab). Also have Naomi and SNK MVS PCBs.
