Hello,
Is it possible to run a MS9 chassis and yoke on a A68LBT696X 8D tube? Will I have geometry issues because the tube is more flat that a A68KJU96X 9D?

Swapping the chassis and yoke should work.
Geometry should be fine assuming the chassis works well.

Thank you for this info, I like to get away from these MS2931 since they seems not reliable and I prefer the MS9 picture. So I will give it a try!

The MS9 chassis, paired with the *696X tube, will have loud and upsetting HV arcing on the neck. Do not combine them. The MS-293x series connects pin 4 to ground via a resistor, which is critical. The MS9-29, MS8-29, and other chassis do not use pin 4 at all. As a result, ~28kV will be present on the disconnected pin 4, and it will arc to the grounded pin 5 immediately.

That's exactly what happend and is the correct answer here. So this is NOT working. I tried it just a second and switched it off immediately. However the MS2931 still works fine on this tube after all.
