Most likely you have to replace the metal frame with the original Nancy one but the Samsung tube you have mentioned have just the same curvature of the toshiba one.

Some pics of the neck, according to @grantspain maybe the neck is too long and the fowling the end of cab.

I think the depth will be fine, but you might be disappointed with the image quality. I wouldn't spend the buttload of money you need to ship that thing.

Much lower than Toshiba A68KJU96X? Or if I change the the chassis to MS9 29 it will be better image quality?

Possibly, but you could run in to geometry issues.

Out of interest, how bad is the burn in your NAC?

about the PM 1754, white balance and calibration must be performed professional, it is like MS8 29, the cut off heavy influence the gains, once all is well balanced you have just the sharper 29" Arcade monitor ever made in 15kz , with also an awesome contrast ratio without loosing any detail in picture. Here some some photos , unluckely the tube is no more on my bench so those were made quickly with a phone sometimes ago, on the impress there is an awesome Toshiba tube drived by an hitachi GMK , beleave me, pm1745, if well calibrated it is just the same as ms9 but sharper! The downside is the very poor quality of the chassis itself ....

I haven't gotten a decent picture out of the PM1745s I have, but good to hear that it's possible!

There are two pm1745 board revisions, pm1745b just drive Toshiba tube, (same one of the Ms8 -ms9 29) , this one have a green PCB and an heater resistor more bigger in value, the pm 1745c with white/yellow PCB has a heater resistor of 2 Ohm only x 3w, and drive the Samsung tube wich is double lines count respect Toshiba 29. So if you usre a PCB with incorrect heater resistor you only got dull colors in dimm picture or too bright with washed out blacks and iimpossible to calibrate.

The ms9 also drive at list two different tubes and there are some important change both in the h stage for s correctiion film cap and the heater resistor wich is 1.5ohm for the Hitachi and 3.3 Ohm for the Toshiba, this also influence the white balance and grey scale but not as much as do on pm1745

For example This is the PM1745B, it has a green pcb , for some reason wich I do not know , it mount better components amd also has better copper layers on pcb ,most likely it was also the first release but for sure it drived Toshiba A68KJU96X (4K) labeled tube.
Paired with samung A68KVL74x01 I got a very dimm picture , but once replaced R131 with the a 2.2Ohm 3W metal oxyde( 2 OHM shold be even better but not was in stock at the time) and the white and contrast turned out simply awesome like the pm1745C one wich have a 2 ohm resistor. There is a manual of a sega touring car wich report the incorrect heater resistor too!!

Excellent info :awe: :thumbupright: Is there a similar mod to use a MS9 (swapping heater resistor) with the Samsung tube???

You can use the ms9 chassis on Samsung tube but a yoke swap is needed, a 2.2Ohm resistor will do the job pretty well!

What do you think about this combo: MS9 chassis + Samsung tube A68KVL74X02

Inductance:
Vertical coil: 18,1 mH
Hor. coil: 0,33 mH

resistance:
Hor.coil 0,8 ohm
vert. 7,6 ohm

The 02 should work, but a yoke swap is the way to go, also I never seen a Sam 02 if not on 100hz consumer tv.
