All fuses including the bodge up has continuity. Vertical IC has continuity with vertical connection.
Or was is another way you wanted me to check Verical IC continuity?

Thanks again Grant! Really appreciate the help!

Done. Everything checks out ok.

I found a broken trace.....
Just the one cap marked at location c3002. Pad was gone.
Added som kynar wire and soldered to the nearest point.

Have not found any othe culprits and all other caps soldered on checked continuity.

Could one cap be responsible for this?

That was the little **** that made all the issues. Fixed the one cap with some kylar wire. Everything working again, but the recap did not fix the white line issue... Oh well...
I have a working cab again. Happy! :awe:

Thanks again for the help Grant!

Thanks!
It’s a MISTer running Jotegos CPS2 core. Feels much better than mame.
Highly recommended!

do you have any jamma boards?
if so try one on the cab to see if it has any affect on that issue

Tried a couple of jamma boards last night, but 15Khz was never a notable issue since the lines are gone after roughly 2 minutes and hardly visible with 15khz (I also run MISTer in 15Khz)

The issues are still there with 31Khz, but image looks more stable with less vibration at the bottom. The lines are gone pretty fast, so no big deal yet.. :awe:
Could be a classic case of placebo, but the caps did make it better.

Fixed!
Decided to do a full recap with only Rubycon and a complete reflow of the entire chassis + neck board. Nice way to spend a Sunday evening :awe:
Lines are gone and everything is looking fantastic!

What I learned... Always do a full recap and change filter caps AND remove other people fixes... :awe:

Awesome. Thanks so much for the details. This is invaluable.
15khz upscaled is cheating
